You know how deeply Michele & I care about creating processes that reduce trauma—and promote healing during the Disclosure Process. Because of that, we wanted to personally reach out and invite you to take part in a meaningful research study that has the potential to improve how disclosures are supported in the future.
A respected colleague of ours is conducting a study on disclosure experiences involving a third party—such as a therapist, coach, clergy member, or even a trusted friend or family member. The purpose of this research is to better understand what helps, what harms, and how these incredibly vulnerable moments can be made more humane, safe, and healing.
If you’ve ever been part of a disclosure—whether you were the one sharing or the one receiving—we believe your voice could make a real difference.
Participation involves a confidential online survey that takes about 15 minutes. Please know: there are no questions about sexual behaviors or detailed history. The study focuses solely on the process of disclosure, not the content.
You can support this important work in three ways:
Take the survey if you’ve personally experienced a disclosure with a third party present.
Share it with clients, friends, or others who may have had similar experiences.
Pass it along to professionals in your network—therapists, coaches, clergy, ministry leaders, and others who may know people affected by this.
